I wrote a story about real life bus experience. This is a true story. ðŸ˜
Standing at the bus stop and you spot the bus coming towards you. A small of emotion rushes within you upon realisation the bus is not late that day.
You are now focused on the bus and you notice they are driving towards you as a ridiculous speed. As the bus approaches the bus stop it does not show signs of slowing down.
Your natural reflex is to stick your hand out and flail it around in a fast up and down motion as you feel a flash of fear they just MAY drive past... as has happened before.
The bus approaches closer to the bus stop. It looks like they are going to keep driving as there is still no indicator yet and they arent showing any signs of slowing down or pulling over at all.
At the absolute last minute the bus pulls into the bus stop.
You feel an instant relief.
The driver pulls the bus up to the bus stop and opens the door. You step onto the bus and in one motion slide your metrocard across the yellow box for validation and walk towards the closest available seat to safety.
As you start your to the bus seat, the driver puts their foot on the accelerator to take off. It is always just before you sit down.
The moment between the start of your rush to the bus seat and actually getting to safety and sitting down feels like everything has suddenly gone into slow motion.
As you finally approach the seat, you feel a sense of relief as you are nearly seated and this one time you may not have a near death experience.
You feel a second of joy before it all comes crashing down.
Just as you get to the seat, you feel the bus start to move forward and you realise your hope was all false. It is happening again.
Your heart drops as you feel the driver accelerate so heavily that your whole life flashes before your eyes.
In that split second you grab the rail and are instantly thankful you didnt fall over or twist an ankle.
You sit down in the seat and are so relieved you survived that....as the bus drives to the next stop and sits for 2 minutes.
Ughhh.
