She thought she always wanted
That one true love
And when she tried to find it
She was met with everything but

All she ever needed
Was to feel safe and loved
It didnt mean to buy her things
Or tell her what she wanted to hear

She wanted to feel it in her bones
Lose her breath when she wrapped herself up
Around his skin
Fall asleep wishing she was inside him

Thats all she ever wanted
The one true love
But when she tried to find it
She was met with everything but

But in that same love
Came pain hurt distrust
In that same love
Came torment sadness disconnect
At no fault of hers. Or his.

They had shipwrecked
Laying on floating pieces of wood
At the end of what could be their life together.
Completely breathless.

In that loss. They found their love.

They felt each others pain hurt distrust.
They felt each others torment sadness disconnect.
The vibrancy of disrupt
Reconnected them.

She thought she always wanted
That one true love.
And when she actually tried to find it

It had been in front of her all along.

Shipwrecked and broken.
Fighting for breath.
They knew there was nothing else they needed.

But each other.
